of things to think about when you are taking a trip. Get out your

Before travelling, make sure you check the projected weather for your
destination. You don't want to be stuck with nothing but winter
clothes during a heat wave or only shorts and tank-tops during a

If you're traveling with a baby and need to sterilize bottles or
teething toys, wash them in hot soapy water, then stop up the sink.
Heat some water in the hotel's coffee maker (without any coffee or tea
in it!) and then pour the water over the bottles or teething toys
until they're submerged. Let them sit for about five minutes and
you'll have sterilized them!
Be aware of the opportunity to get travel credit and continue to watch
the price of your flight even after you make your reservation. Many
major airlines will give you a credit for future travel if the price
of your flight goes down after you have purchased your ticket. You
could save money on a future vacation by being aware of the price
fluctuations.
Learn the tipping culture for whatever countries you plan to visit. In
some cultures, tipping is automatic, while in others, it does not
exist. There are still a few cultures in which tipping is considered a
great insult, so mind your manners by checking the customs. You do not
want to insult your server.
Knowing what is and is not allowed on an airplane can save you a
hassle at the airport. Many people do not realize that simple everyday
items such as hand lotion, sunscreen, etc., are considered spreads and
either need to be in a clear plastic bag, or in your checked luggage.
It is best to check with the TSA website before you leave for your
trip to ensure smooth sailing at the airport.
